Elijah showing his age during his birthday breakfast, for which he picked pancakes, his favorite thing to eat!

Joshua had to show his fingers too :)

Elijah ended up getting a fever for his birthday! So, our day was pretty calm, trying to help him feel better. So, that night he wanted to watch Star Wars, have pizza to eat, eat birthday cake and open presents. So, that's what we did! He also wanted to go bowling, to a movie, and out to eat, which we did most of that the next night when he was feeling better.
Here, the boys posing on the couch ready to begin Star Wars.

The evil Darth Vader...

Okay, Elijah wanted a Star Wars storm trooper cake, and I found a really cool picture of one on a website to copy. And, it didn't turn out AT ALL like the one in the picture (don't laugh too hard). Oh well, Elijah liked it and that's all that mattered!

A new storm trooper suit...

AND, a new bike! A BIG bike so he can hopefully use it for many years.

Because Elijah got a new bike, so did Isaac (Elijah's old one), which he was totally excited about,

and so did Joshua (Isaac's old bike), which he wasn't as excited about (yet, anyway)!

The next night when Elijah was feeling better, we went bowling. This was actually the first time we had been bowling together as a family, which I'm not sure why we hadn't really thought much about going before. But, we had a really fun time, so I'm sure it will become a regular thing for us Johnsons.

Isaac after one of his few strikes. Isaac ended up winning the game! (There were bumpers for the boys, but we don't really have to mention that, now do we?)

Elijah had a great birthday! We are so thankful for these years that God has blessed with a sweet spirited, smart little boy. He is a joy to us, and we pray constantly for him, that he will come to faith in Jesus our Lord.
