Zoo Time with Friends

In May I took the boys to the zoo with a long-time friend of mine, Sarah, and her kids. We hadn't seen each other in a few years, and it was fabulous to spend time with her and her kids again. It was a very hot day but we had a blast.

You know how much Elijah loves to read? Here he is reading to a goat. Looks like the goat is listening, too.

Thank goodness they have hand cleaner when you walk out of the petting zoo.

Alligator Cove: creepy! But, the boys sure thought it was cool.

I guess I always assumed that giraffes pretty much just ate leaves off of trees, because they are so tall. Here is one bending down to eat grass. It looked so funny!

    Wow! I thought Evi loved to read. Her love doesn't even go that far! That's pretty cute. Also, the alligator cove looks so cool. I don't remember that. Either it's new or I'm already forgetting A LOT! Say hi to the family from the Yates.
