Thursday we went on a field trip to a local dairy farm, where we learned all about the goings-on of raising cows, the different types of cows, milking (and lots of it!), and processing and bottling it for us!
We go through A LOT of milk in our household (3 boys, and 1 husband who all LOVE milk), so this was a fun day and a great learning experience for all of us.
We especially enjoyed at the end of our tour a taste testing of their homemade butter, and chocolate milk, even though I didn't take a picture of the results of the chocolate milk around the mouths of my boys. Oh well, I'll have to get better at this.
